This Full Spectrum Quantum meter device is equipped with a waterproof sensor. It is used to gauge the flux of Photo Synthetically Active Radiation (PAR) within the wavelength range of 400 to 700 nanometers (nm). PAR indicates the crucial spectrum of light essential for initiating photosynthesis in plants.


Plants harbor pigments known as chlorophylls, which capture photons falling within a particular range of wavelengths. These photons serve as the requisite energy source for photosynthesis, the process through which plants convert light energy into chemical energy, thereby fueling their growth and development.

Utilizing a Quantum Meter to measure PAR flux allows researchers and horticulturalists to evaluate the intensity of light conducive to photosynthesis.
